January has been a busy month for 140-pound titleholder Lamont Peterson. So busy that he all but ignored his birthday on January 24.
Peterson received some invaluble advice from boxing legends Sugar Ray Leonard and Thomas Hearns in New York on January 14, when the first fights for the Premier Boxing Champions series was announced.
Peterson's fight against unbeaten champion Danny Garcia on April 11 will highlight PBC's second Saturday night prime-time event on NBC.
After his trip to New York, Peterson headed to Los Angeles to take part in a PBC promotional photo shoot.
The quiet, reserved Washington, D.C., native then headed back to camp to prepare for one of the biggest fights in his career.
With so much on the line, Peterson all but ignored his 31st birthday on January 24.
