The “Baddest Man on the Planet” takes home boxing’s biggest award as fans voted Deontay Wilder the PBC Fighter of the Year for 2019.

The WBC Heavyweight World Champion—who also won the PBC’s Knockout of the Year Award for his destructive KO of Dominic Breazeale in May—won the fans' choice with 27-percent of the vote to beat out a pair of welterweight champions in Errol Spence Jr. (23.8%) and Manny Pacquiao (22.6%). IBF super middleweight champion Caleb Plant came in fourth place and newly-crowned WBA lightweight champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis rounded out the nominees.

While it was indeed a big year for “The Bronze Bomber” as he scored a huge stoppage victory in his rematch with Cuban contender Luis “King Kong” Ortiz in November, Wilder clearly has his sights set on an upcoming mega-rematch with Tyson Fury on February 22 and beyond.

“Next, we have Tyson Fury in the rematch,” Wilder said, after his win over Ortiz in Las Vegas. “It's scheduled for February, so we'll see. Then, I want unification. I want one champion, one face and one heavyweight champion — Deontay Wilder. The heavyweight division is too small, there should be one champion and it's Deontay Wilder.”
